A pre-owned Tom Sands guitar becoming available is a rare occurrence, therefore we're delighted to have received this stunning Model M onto our Marketplace, built by Tom in 2019.
Nicknamed 'Cleopatra', this Model M boasts a gorgeous set of cocobolo for the back and sides with a Swiss Moon spruce top that has developed a golden finish over the years since its completion.
The guitar has a fan fret design, meaning its scale length gets longer with each string, providing greater tension at lower tunings, making it perfect for use in DADGAD or even C tunings.
Throughout the guitar there is a wildfire patinated copper theme which features on the rosette as well as the headstock and back inlays. This incredible detail has become a signature feature of Tom's guitars over the years and makes for an elegant alternative approach to guitar decoration.
The guitar is in excellent condition with some mild finish scuffs on the binding and back. It has been fitted with a K&K Pure Mini pickup and comes with a custom fitted Hoffee hard shell case in a white finish.
