Collection: Oska Burman Guitars

Scotland-based Oska Burman grew up in Brisbane, Queensland in Australia before emigrating to the UK to explore his Scottish roots and learn the art of lutherie, attending Totnes School of Guitarmaking in Devon followed by Glasgow Clyde College in Scotland, before staying in Glasgow to set up his workshop.

Oska currently offers three models:

OM

Oska's take on the Orchestra Model is hugely versatile, offering a choice of short (24.9") and long scale (25.4") scale lengths.

Oska says: "Generally considered to be the all round workhorse, the OM is equally well suited to the finger-stylist, the flat-picker or the strummer. Its comfortably sized body shape, scale length & body depth create arguably one of the most versatile & popular guitars around."

MD

Oska is one of the only luthiers in the UK to offer a Modified Dreadnought. Taking influence from Ervin Somogyi's MD design, Oska says:"Based on the iconic dreadnought, however, modified to be a more curvaceous & comfortable instrument to sit down and play, as well as to suit the fingerstyle guitarist in a variety of settings. It excels in the bottom end, due to its size, whilst maintaining warmer trebles within its overall dynamic range."

With a curvier body shape than his MD, Oska offers a Baritone tuned to A or B with a 28.3" scale length.

Oska says: "A larger bodied, longer scale guitar often tuned down to B or A. It is also well suited to a variety of alternate/dropped tunings due to its inherent nature. It has a rich, powerful voice, extremely well suited to finger-style but equally at home with rich, sustaining chord strumming."
