This McPherson MG 4.5XPH comes to us as part of a pair of McPhersons both boasting sublime tonewoods in the form of striking Brazilian rosewood for the back and sides and a quilted redwood top.
The MG model is McPherson's quintessential guitar design, a jumbo body with dreadnought-like tonality The 4.5 in the model name denotes the 4.5" depth to the body, while the XPH means that the guitar's has a slightly larger offset soundhole.
The guitar has a mahogany neck and bound Brazilian rosewood fretboard as well as a Brazilian rosewood bridge. Tonally, the guitar offers a rich complexity, a sensational bass presence and a warmth to the trebles thanks to the redwood top.
The guitar is in excellent condition with some light signs of playwear. It includes its original Ameritage hard shell case and is fitted with an EMG humbucker and piezo pickup.
