Hello! Welcome to The Six-String Collective! We're glad to have you here.
Our name may be new to you, but we’re certainly not new to the boutique guitar world nor the UK guitar industry.
Having spent over half a decade working at the nucleus of The North American Guitar before its migration to the US, our founder Richard Poll has an impressive knowledge of the modern luthier realm, and a proven track record of providing buyers and sellers with a premium, personal customer service.
With the UK having previously been spoiled with boutique guitar stores, particularly in Brighton and London, there has been a gap in the UK guitar retail landscape for number of years now.
The Six-String Collective aims to fill that gap by giving the UK a focal point for the luthier-built guitar community.
Our Marketplace is the perfect place to find a pre-owned gem, ranging from small-workshop luthiers to the finest US luthier team-built guitars.
You can also make use of the Marketplace to consign a guitar for sale through us, where it will be professionally photographed and filmed before being listed for sale on our website and marketed to our community of guitar enthusiasts across the UK and beyond.
We’re also working with a select few luthiers to represent their work in the UK. Our first luthier announcement welcomed Tom Sands Guitars to the Collective - Tom is building the world exclusive first build of a new parlour-influenced model called the XS, which is available for pre-order now.
We’re also incredibly proud to bring Rick Turner Guitars back to the UK, and help to continue the legacy that the late Rick built before his passing in 2022.
We’ll shortly be announcing the addition of two more luthiers to the Collective, so watch this space!
