We are incredibly excited to offer for sale the world exclusive first build of the new Model XS from Tom Sands Guitars.
This parlour acoustic guitar is inspired by a guitar from Tom's personal collection, the Matsuda parlour, built by fellow Somogyi apprentice alumnus Michihiro Matsuda.
The XS (nicknamed 'The Little 'Un' by Tom) has a 12-fret design with a 25" scale length and a 13" lower bout width.
The first Model XS features Brazilian rosewood for the back and sides, paired with a set of Special Reserve German spruce for the top. The Brazilian rosewood theme continues throughout the guitar with the fingerboard, endgraft, binding and bridge all built with the South American wood, as well as decorative elements including the headplate and heelcap.
This first Model XS is quite sublime, providing a tone and balance far greater than one would expect from a guitar of this size.
